 Howdy!
My name is Katherine Hildebrand but you can call me Katie.  The journey of my life began on May 17, 1988 when I was born along side my sister Chrissy (so if you are really great at math you may have figured out already that I am 20 years old).  I grew up in a town so tiny that you don’t even have to blink to miss it when you are driving through it.  It is the town of Stead (that’s in Manitoba, Canada).  I grew up in this farming communty with my 5 other siblings (Heather, Ben, Chrissy, Lloyd and William), as well as our exchange student, Hun. I really love my family.  Our family owns a sod farm, which is where I have been currently working for the past couple of years.  For the past two winters however, I have moved to a city called Steinbach to work and go to bible school because our sod farm closes in winter due to the tons and tons of snow we get.
I LOVE: playing sports, especially hockey, soccer and basketball; making music, I play the piano and guitar; and maybe I’m a freek but I really love weeding gardens and doing puzzles.  I would have to honestly say though that the thing I love most in life is God.  I became a Christian at a young age and was a church goer straight from the womb but it wasn’t until the last few years of high school that I really began to understand the cost of following Christ.  Since then I have been trying to live a life full of love for God, others and myself, although these are sometimes easier said than done.  This past year I went on a mission trip to the inner city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.  It was a real eye opening experience of the poverty that has been right under my nose this whole time.  I want to continue to have my view of the world changed.  I want to be a part of what God is doing in this world.  I want to see what He sees, I want to feel what He feels.  I want to know Him better.
