My name is Jose Bonilla, but most of my friends call me Josie for some odd reason. I live
in Los Angeles, California. The weather is crazy here and I’ve only
bumped into 3 famous folks. I’m currently 20 years old & attending
community college. i’m a type of fellow that enjoys your weekly trip to
the movies, your occasional art exhibit, and of course going to the
beach. The beach is actually only 20 minutes away which is really
convenient because i don’t have a pool. My 1st job was working @
Jamba Juice making smoothies and wearing a banana suit to attract the
local customers. I used to be a vegetarian, but realized that being
vegetarian didn’t just mean taking out the meat from your burger. Plus,
at the time, it was kinda difficult to stay a veggie because i decided
to pursue a more noble career at the local famously delicious In &
Out Burger joint. I’m now working at a landscape company which is
really cool. Any who, to the good stuff. I accepted the Lord Jesus about
3 years ago @ a reteat my friend invited me too. Now, i believed in God
before, but I didn’t have a relationship with Him. I never knew he
wanted to be united in fellowship with me in such a deep intimate way.
So i felt my heart raise and begin to beat strangely when they had the
alter call. The preacher said if you have a tugging in your heart, that
is the Lord knocking, but my heart felt as if the Lord was pounding
& i remember telling myself, “oh my, the Lord really needs to talk to me.” So i
answered the Lord’s invitation and can honestly say its been one
beautiful journey ever since.

  3. That is amazing how God works! It is a big thing to not just know God but to decide to have relationship with him, totally life changing. That is awsome, can’t wait to meet you and everyone when we head to Kenya. 🙂

  4. Oh my gosh, the kids look amazing! If you go to youtube, you can find a video from the AIM house where the same kids talk about themselves…I hope we get to spend a lot of time with them. They seem like amazing young adults.
