Hey. I was wondering what type of electrical adapter is recommended for the area that we will be in? I did some research and found that g type adapters are often used, but others are used as well.

  1. I was wondering this same thing!
    When I went shopping today (last minute, I know) I saw adapters, but I also saw converters. I am not sure the difference or if we need both or…basically anything about what I should get at all.

  2. Hey adapters are most dangerous because it just changes the type of outlet and in most countries the electricity is a different voltage than in the US. So converters are a safer buy, they tend to be more expensive but they won’t damage your things. some times adapter will over heat and burn out the the item, and things like a lap top or ipod are expensive to replace. If it helps I already own a converter that I’m bring, so if you want to safe money you can borrow mine.

  3. We will be able to buy them in country. AIM said it’s actually a better idea to get them there because the ones from the US have a tendency to start to smoke. :0(
